Please send your
news, suggestions,requests Music_Jam_WTBTMA@yahoo.com
Many professional performers and bands support WTB/TMA with their attendance at our
Open Jams. We sometimes receive requests from people wanting to engage professional performers for upcoming events. In WTB/TMA's
continuing efforts to promote local & regional talent, we endeavor to provide that contact information for prospective
bookings. If you or your band would be available for event bookings, workshops, cd sales, lessons or music supplies and services,
we want to include you on our listings. Please, make us aware of your talents, services, products and availability. Email
us at Music_Jam_WTBTMA@yahoo.com Be sure to include your contact information for us to be able to reach you.
We're happy to include anyone who would like to receive our monthly E-mail reminders and announcements about the
jam. If you, or someone you know, isn't yet included--just let us know. Please provide a valid email address since we
rely solely on E-mail for direct contact. We have flyers available at each jam with information about the next
month's jam. Feel free to pick up extras to distribute to others you know might be interested.
Long-Distance Loyalty
Long-distance travellers from far outside the Lubbock
area and even other states continue to regularly attend our jams. Gotta love the kind of loyalty that
keeps 'em comin' from near and far! . . . The support from Lubbock and out-lying communities as well as those long-distance
attendees is the life-blood of the organization.
Every session continues to see newcomers attending for the first
time. We're glad for the continued wide interest. Since we rely solely on E-mail, the website and word-of-mouth
for all our WTB/TMA communications, it's especially great that all of you do such a good job getting the word out. It
would appear that the WTB/TMA grapevine is well-greased!

The music at our jams rivals any heard on any stage
anywhere! There's a
growing audience of listeners each month as well as pickers, confirming our assertion that there's a need
for a wholesome place for individuals and families to participate and to listen to the largely grassroots and undiscovered
incredible music talent that West Texas (and beyond!) breeds & harbors.
Given our WTB/TMA family-oriented
venue for musicians to gain experience, exposure and encouragement, we are growing some powerful
musical presence!
GENERATIONS
AND GENRES MEET & join forces within our organization . . . We hope to provide the much-needed venue for a broad
range of talent . . . composing, performing, recording, promoting . . . drawing talent here to gain the audience
& support needed.
Our
get-togethers are not only graced by seasoned professionals from The Batten Family,
Flatland, Ironweed, Sweetwater Medicine Wagon, Cedar Creek, Prairie Fire Band, Wire & Wood Bluegrass Band, and
probably more notables in the West Texas music world than we're yet aware of, but also the novice and amateur
attending their first jam. It's the greatest situation in the world to indulge your passion for music
and to "share the love" with others of the same persuasion.
This positive atmosphere -- where the pros lend support and encouragement to the amateurs, and where
pros gain support and exposure for their work -- is just the sort of environment where wonderful things happen . . . And,
lots more people are discovering each time how wonderful it is!
